Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal declared the lifting of most of the lockdown limitations from 5 am on June 14. Some activities will prohibited while some will start with restrictions.

“After 5 am tomorrowactivities will permitted except some actions which are going to prohibited and some actions which will done in a limited fashion,” Kejriwal said through a virtual briefing.

Restaurants have also allowed to open at 50% capacity. All marketplace complexes, malls will be wholly open from 10 am to 8 pm.

He added that schools, schools, educational and training institutions will stay closed. Social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, spiritual festival gatherings have also prohibited. Swimming pools, stadiums, sports complexes, cinema theatres, multiplexes will stay closed.

Furthermore, spas, fitness centers, Yoga institutes will remain closed. “Public gardens and parks will stay closed. In government offices, there will be 100 percent attendance of group A officers and 50 percent for the rest. Critical actions will continue as usual,” Kejriwal added.

Delhi lockdown unlock: Restauranteurs welcome reopening of dine-in facilities

After being shut for almost two months, restauranteurs in the national capital breathed a sigh of relief on Sunday and welcomed the Delhi government’s decision to allow dine-in facilities to operate with 50 percent occupancy.

On Saturday, Delhi government data indicated that only 213 cases have recorded over a 24-hour period — the lowest in more than three months, bringing the overall caseload to 14,30,884. The national capital also recorded 28 deaths due to COVID-19 which took the total death count to 24,800.

The current figures are a huge improvement on the numbers from  April-May as the national capital crossed 28,000, an all-time high. The subsequent crisis at hospitals – with a shortage of drugs, beds and oxygen – had made headlines.
